SVM undertook the GRIP 5-8 designs for the HEP east/west and HML schemes on behalf of SML.  The works covered vast re-signalling and infrastructure upgrades between Perth to Inverness, and Inverness to Aberdeen, with SVM responsible for the survey and design of 3Nr. new containerised PSPs; 2Nr. Compact PSPs (first of their kind utilised in full PSP distribution format); 6Nr. PSP renewal/modifications; Class II and legacy Class I feeders; Inverness Signalling Centre renewals; S&C renewals with points heating and junction lighting; REB source power; signal box upgrades and level crossing designs.
